Homemade ways to feel better fast…

I have decided to amass a bunch of things that make you feel better or make your life better with out costing an arm and a leg, or be loaded with a ton of shit…

Here is a start!

¼ teaspoon Cayenne
¼ teaspoon Ginger
1 Tablespoon Cider Vinegar (an organic one, like Bragg’s, is preferred.)
2 Tablespoon Water
1 Tablespoon Honey (use a locally produced raw honey, if possible.)

Dissolve cayenne and ginger in cider vinegar and water. Add honey and shake well. Take 1 Tablespoon as needed for cough.
Note: this doesn’t dissolve perfectly. Always shake well before using.

If you make this in small batches as the recipe is written, there is no need to refrigerate.
If you prefer, you may refrigerate this. It keeps as long as you need it.

Perfect Iced Tea…

Perfect Sweet Tea. (makes 1 gallon)
(Adapted from the Lone Star Steak House)

Posted from the “Craving Comfort with the homesteading housewife website.”
Ingredients -
5 – 8  Family size Tea Bags. (or 12 regular Tea Bags)
( I prefer  #1 Luzianne or  #2 Liptons Brand Teas.)
1 Quart  (4 Cups) – Boiling Water
3 Quarts (12 cups) – Cool Water
1 1/2 – 2 (one & a half) – Cups Sugar.
1/4 teaspoon – Baking Soda (this IS the SECRET Ingredient!!)

Directions -
1.  Sprinkle baking soda into a pitcher (I use a gallon-size Mason Jar but many people have voiced concerns about pouring boiling water into a glass container, so use whatever container you’d like)
Add Tea bags to the pitcher/baking soda,
Pour Boiling water over tea bags,
Cover and allow to steep for 15 minutes.
